An innovative and developing business our client, which is a leading Australian manufacturer of electrical switchboard manufacturing facilities based in Thomastown, you'll play a pivotal role in assembling cutting-edge electrical switchboard facilities. This exciting opportunity will start on dayshift 7am-3.06pm, Monday - Friday. We are after a highly motivated Preparation / Assembly staff, to become an integral part of the team. This is a Temp to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
Your Tasks Will Include:
- Working within a team environment, you will be required to prepare switchboards for powder coating, assembly and pack for shipping.
- Assemble components or products using hand tools, power tools, and manual equipment.
- Follow drawings, procedures, or assembly instructions to ensure accurate builds.
- Inspect and test assembled products for quality and functionality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Troubleshoot minor issues during the assembly process.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
Key Requirments:
- VCE or trade equivalent.
- Proven experience in an assembly or manufacturing role.
- Skilled in the use of power tools (drills, screwdrivers, grinders, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 15kg and stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn.
- Dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
