Casual Position Overview:Home Support Workers help our clients with:
- Personal care such as showering, grooming, or assistance with dressing.
- Social support with companionship or attending to the community for appointments or recreational activities.
- Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, or light household cleaning and assistance.
- Recording attendance through a smartphone application, as well as a summary of tasks completed.
- National Police Check (Less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
- Queensland Driver’s License.
- Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
- (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.
Remuneration:Good Works for Australia pays SCHADS award wages with the addition of generous allowances pro rata to the jobs attended for the casual rates of a home support worker. Remuneration is divvied into two sections: the base rate for disability and aged care services, and then the allowances and reimbursements.
