Airlie Beach Concrete Plant is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver/Batcher to join their team. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects, including but not limited to delivering, batching, housekeeping, risk assessing, and various yard duties.

$35.03ph - $37.91 plus penalties (rate X 1.5 after 8 hours, rate X 2.0 after 10 hours)

About the role:
You will be based at our Airlie Beach Concrete Plant reporting to the Plant Manager.
Batch concrete, housekeeping and yard duties.
Most days will start at 6am working up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 55-60 hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime rates
Monthly travel may be required within the Bowen Bason region -meals/accommodation is supplied.
You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day, so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you haven’t met before
We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loads.
All new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose by yourself.
Use of a front-end loader
About you:
HR license (highly regarded) we can train you if not available.
Front-end loader experience would be highly regarded.
You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when you’re onsite
You prefer variety in your working life. No two days are ever the same when you’re driving one of our Agi trucks
Can pick up new systems easily, and don’t shy from complicated tasks.
You take pride in the appearance of yourself/your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck
Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials sites)
